The village of Mirteto, one of the most evocative and magical places of Mount Pisano. Ancient monastery now abandoned, the first traces of which date back to 1100; it preserves intact the appearance of the religious village, with the Romanesque style church in the center. Testimony of the great works of collecting the waters of the valley: the Cisternone, in this huge artifact were decanted and filtered before being sent, through the Medici aqueduct, to the city of Pisa.
