Cisternino is one of the most fascinating villages of the Itria valley in P uglia. It is a pleasure to get lost in the alleys and squares, breathing the air of the past. An almost oriental charm, due to that instinctive, unplanned architecture that distinguishes the historic center.
The exploration of Cisternino starts from Piazza Garibaldi where there is the Villa Comunale and the Great Tower with the Great Door and the Mother Church. the latter dedicated to San Nicola and built in the Romanesque period.
